Sheer size and beauty of these two countries is awesome, I love going back at least once every two years.

Ever since I first traveled to the North American Continent back in 1977 I have been hooked, not only me but my also friends.

When I first traveled to USA in 1977, we traveled all over by Greyhound Bus, this was great if you did not want to drive, but has its drawbacks, passing through some remote beauty spot you can only see it through bus windows, with no freedom to stop.

We took our lodgings at University Campus's along the way, we had bought a Guide To Campus Lodgings before we left the UK and this saved us a fortune, the rooms and the food where beautiful, and I believe you can still get lodgings for under $10 a night at most Universities, this way to see the USA and Canada is a very affordable way for The Budget Traveler.
